Kidwelly Rugby Football Club |
The 2007/8 season is upon us and I would like to give a warm welcome to all visiting teams to Kidwelly RFC at Parc Stephens. I hope we can play the game to everyone’s expectations and produce some exciting matches to satisfy both sets of supporters. But whatever the result there will be a warm welcome back in the club house for everyone after the game.
I would like thank Kidwelly RFC sponsors for their Continuous support, your contributions are very much appreciated and essential for the successful running of our club.
This season sees Kidwelly start with a new coaching set up, with the appointment of Mr Stan Liptrot as head coach. Stan is a very experienced coach and respected throughout England and Wales for his achievement. I’m sure he will bring the best out in our teams. He will be assisted by two ex Kidwelly players in Steve Williams who has played over 420 1st games for the club, and Lyn Price as fitness coach who has been putting the squad through some grueling pre season training sessions.
I would like to thank you our loyal supporters for your continuous support both home and away, and as you can see with three teams playing on Saturday and Junior rugby on Sunday there will be plenty of games on the weekend for you to give your loyal support for the players. Lets have an enjoyable and successful season.
Dennis Williams
Club Chairman - Kidwelly RFC

In their final home game of the season, Kidwelly gave a superb display of running rugby to completely demolish a plucky Nantymoel team who never gave up.

A Kidwelly team with a below strength front five, was no match for a felinfoel team who are flying high at the top of division two.

This high quality encounter was a great advert for division two rugby, with both teams prepared to move the ball along their back lines at every opportunity.
