In their final home game of the season, Kidwelly gave a superb display of running rugby to completely demolish a plucky Nantymoel team who never gave up, and in the second half they managed to stem the home team`s try count, to only three, the black and ambers had run in four tries in the opening seventeen minutes, and threat end to completely overrun their opponents, but over elaboration and a plucky defencive effort by the visitors, kept the Kidwelly try count down to nine, fly-half Leighton Walters converted all nine tries, and scored one try to give himself a tally of twenty three points, whilst fullback Andrew Francis touched down three times to gain a hat trick.

Kidwelly took the lead with less than five minutes played, a loose ball was gathered by Craig Thomas, who linked with wing Mathew Davies, who put outside-half Leighton Walters away on a thirty meter run to score in the corner, Walters converted, and within minutes they scored again, a driving maul saw flanker Chris Eldred gain the touchdown, Walters converted, another loose ball was pounced on by centre Stuart Morris, he put fullback Andrew Francis away on a sixty meter run to score near the posts, Walters converted, and with less than twenty minutes played, superb work by lock David Morgan, and wing Rhys Jones, led to scrum half and skipper Craig Thomas racing forty five meters to score a converted try, on the half hour the home team further increased their lead, when an excellent three quarter movement, was finished off by wing Mathew Davies, who raced forty five meters to score a converted try, and on the half time whistle a deft pass by lock David Morgan, put Andrew Francis into space, he ran sixty five meters to score, to give Kid welly a forty two points to nil half time lead.

Within minutes of the restart, flanker Chris Cray, and Craig Thomas combined to put wing Rhys Jones away on a forty meter sprint to score between the posts, and with less than ten minutes of the second half played the black and ambers scored try number eight, a good run by skipper Thomas saw him link with Andy Francis who raced away to gain his third try, at this point it seemed that the home team were going to take their try count well into double figures, but over elaboration, plus several scoring passes being put down, saw the home team having to wait until the final minutes, to score again, lock William Russell ran twenty meters to score between the posts, Kidwelly could not have asked for a better finish for their last home league game of the season, the black and ambers travel to Mumbles on Wednesday to complete their leauge programme.
